Re: BT home hub and broadband issues please help!!

Spoiler
well

well suprise suprise .

recieved my new home hub 3 on tuesday and connected it up tuesday night, connection was fine but kept dropping out on my newish laptop . connected my old laptop up and the connection was fine and stable.

however this morning i got a text from my wife saying the lights had gone out on the home hub, apart from the orange power light which kept flashing and then going blue and then flashing orange again.

this is the third home hib that this has happened too now !!!

now I have no internet connection again

this is beyond a joke, i am on to my 3rd home hub in the 2 weeks i have had broadban connected and i think ive had barely 5 days use in 2 weeks which i find unnaceptable.

I have contacted bt via email but had no reply.

I am loathe to spend another hour on the phone to a call centre.

what can i do ???

Re: BT home hub and broadband issues please help!!

Well ive managed to reset this router by turning it off and then back on again. All lights came on for. About ten minutes and then the wireless and broadband lifts have gone out .

The power light is going from blue to Orange and flashing now?

Re: BT home hub and broadband issues please help!!

hi i have done as you said in your post but as yet had no reply.

i have been onto the call centre again and it got raised to a level 2 job as it had happend 3 times now.

they are sending me another home hub and rest assured its not going to happen again or so they say.

here is my first speed test resut anyway as somehow this router that has been playing up for the past 3 hours has come back on?????

Download speedachieved during the test was - 615 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-1000 Kbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :768 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 676 Kbps

Re: BT home hub and broadband issues please help!!

the mods are your best option now you have contacted them you would be best advised to avoid the call centre as it can only cause confusion just a matter of waiting for there reply
