BT infinity Self install in Northern Ireland

Is BT infinity self install available in N.Ireland ?

I know someone whose has just opted for BT infinity and they have been sent  a Home Hub 4  and are waiting now for a Openreach engineer.

They thought it was a self install and if so , should they not have  got a Home hub 5?

Re: BT infinity Self install in Northern Ireland

Regardless if it is a self install or not they should have been sent the Homehub 5. The HH4 is now only used with ADSL broadband or if they are installing an Openreach modem which they should no longer be doing.

Is the Home Hub 5 also used for BT Infinity 2 ?

Re: BT infinity Self install in Northern Ireland

I have  Infinity 2 due to be activated tomorrow and it seems to be a self-install (its an upgrade from regular broadband on my existing phone line). I have been told no engineer visit to my home will be needed.

I received the new Hub in the post yesterday and it is a Home Hub 5

I am in England.

I have my fingers crossed it goes smoothly tomorrow!
