I have never officially been told there is an issue with my connection, even after the last Openreach visit which incidentally admitted he was an apprentice and his test equipment was faulty.
Hopefully I will know this for certain if the next visit happens on Saturday.
Regardless he seems to have been given the impression he will get almost 40Mb but currently gets 25Mb. If it's a long line issue the estimate should reflect the reality.
Download speed achieved during the test was - 27.49Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 12 Mbps-0 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 33.65Mbps
It's dropped over 2Mb since Saturday and was stable at almost 36Mb for two weeks prior to that but granted it seems to hover between 31Mb and 36Mb, still nowhere near the actual of 41Mb when installed or the 48.9Mb advised though.
To be totally honest I'm wondering the same for my line too.
Hopefully I'm wrong and there will be a genuine problem found, I have my own suspicions but let's see what the Openreach Broadband guy finds before playing those cards.
I'll be the first to shout from the rooftops if it's sorted out but if not I'll get someone from BT to admit they mislead punters even if it kills me
