BT netflix flawed system

We had netflix on BT until a few days ago however we noticed some stuff we want to watch so decided to get it back anyway your system won't accept the previous email so had to use a new one. We have because of this flaw ended up with two free trials. You guys need a better system so customers can subscribe and cancel netflix a lot easier without having to create new email addresses and certainly not give out extra trials

Re: BT netflix flawed system

If you had an account with Netflix, you don't have to open a new account. You just log into your old account using the email address and password you set the account up with originally and then reactivate the account.

Re: BT netflix flawed system

Thats not BT's flaw that would be Netflix's as they design and release the App Bt just has the ability to upload it to the youview box.

Re: BT netflix flawed system

The issue was the husband wanted it on the bill and bts system won't allow you to use existing netflix accounts even inactive ones which is flawed

Re: BT netflix flawed system

We have friends on Talktalk and they allow you to bill to the bill and reactivate closed accounts as part of sign up so it's definitely a BT flaw as if Talktalk can do this so could BT

Re: BT netflix flawed system

Netflix wont let you use the same email address for a period of time that is fact.

Re: BT netflix flawed system

It's also a fact that the limit you refer to is ten months not two days like I am talking about. And I know of plenty of people who have cancelled and resumed the subscription and billed on the bill with Talktalk under the 10 months so yes this is a BT flaw that they won't let you do it maybe you need to check out the facts before posting in future because your incorrect posts add nothing to the thread.

Re: BT netflix flawed system

This is BT not Talk Talk but anyway lets get back to the FACTS....

"Because of data privacy issues you can't use the same email address, for Netflix with BT, that was previously used for a subscription direct with Netflix in the last 18 months. This is because the previous subscription account information is still saved on the Netflix system, and, is held for a period of 18 months. This is part of EU law but it is under review and this may reduce from 18 months to 11 months"

Thats EU law granted we probably might not be in it much longer but there you go Smiley Wink

Re: BT netflix flawed system

Still got your facts wrong because the rejected email was a one previously registered with BT netflix not netflix directly. Maybe read the thread properly in future.
