BT openzone question

Go to solution

Hi guys

Just a quick question regarding openzone which will save me trawling through FAQs

I currently have bt infinity option 2 and have opted out of btfon. Am i right or wrong thinking i can still use openzone connections on my phone, ipod etc when out and about with no extra charge?

And if so, is it just a case of entering my BT username and PW or something similiar?

TY

BTOZ and Fon are more or less free and unmetred provided you are opted into BT Fon. Details in your T & C's.

Yes. If you are not opted in, you can use it by buying vouchers, but as far as we know, their is no downside to being opted in.

Ok, thankyou again and one final question if i may before closing the thread (2 actually)

Have you any idea how much bandwidth of my line will be reserved and/or used if i opt in to btfon and more importantly would it affect latency if someone was using my hub whilst i was online gaming?

the max for btfon is 512kb and you get priority so if you were downloading at your max then there would be nothing for btfon
