Totally confused about the various ways to pay for BT Sport. I have BT broadband. I do not have a BT set top box. I do not have BT TV.
So a fairly simple question - If I pay £15 a month for the BT Sport app, will I then be able to go to www.btsport.com on any device that is connected to the internet (such as smart TV, tablet, mobile phone) and then be able to watch BT sport?
Thanks for any replies.
Yup.. you can also download the BT Sport app and watch in 4K HDR with Dolby Atmos sound on BT Sport Ultimate providing your device , TV and audio system are compatible 👌
BT Sport Ultimate would be an additional £5 per month for BT broadband customers who are paying £15 for the BT Sport app.
Thanks for that. I have a LG tv so the app can't be used. If I use the app on a mobile device I am not allowed to Chromecast to the TV. So that means pay for the app but use the website to Chromecast to the TV. Also not allowed to use the website on the LG tv.
Think BT need to sort this LG situation out.
@Tarnbrick if you have the full BT Sport sub you can cast. The only versions you can't cast are the mobile (small screen) only versions you get bundled with EE or BT Mobile packages I believe
@Tarnbrick oh and I didn't realise that Ultimate was an extra £5 per month...
Thanks for that. I can Chromecast from a mobile device if it is using the website but not if it is using the app. There are different procedures when an LG tv is involved. So basically I pay for the app but can't use it to get a picture on the tv.
It is a Chromecast purchased separately to the TV.
