"We’re revamping BT Mail to make your experience better than ever" - so why has the most obvious issue not seem to be addressed? Expanding the width of the left hand Folder section so you can see the full Folder hierarchy name and not a trunctated name of about 14 characters. Really a BIG problem with BT Email.... and why I prefer to use Outlook but this is not supported by BT . . as they want you to use BT Email.
I have raised this for 2 years and seen nothing done - and now the revamping going on yet does not appear to have heeded feedback (I know may others who have same issue)
You can expand the size of the left hand folder section. Move your mouse over the vertical line between the folder section and the email list section until your mouse cursor changes to look like to vertical lines with arrows on each side. When that shows, drag the line to where you want it then release the mouse. It will however revert back to the default position when you next log on.
BT don't support Outlook, as in they can not offer help for users, not because they want you to use BTMail but because they can not possibly supply advice or experts to know how to fix or set up every email client that is available.
Thanks for your fast response
I know that solution works on other sites but does not work on the current version of BT Mail. Is this what is part of the revamp?
when will this take effect as does not work on my current version
if this is new and will take effect soon then I would be pleased to continue using BT Mail and drop Outlook due to the multiple issues I keep getting using that option with BT.
If not part of current version of BT Mail then please advise how and when I can get that feature working. THIS is exactly what I have stated to support team on 5 occasions so will be well pleased if I can get this working sooner than later.

Works for me on BTMail, I suspect you are still on BTYahoo mail, in which case it doesn't work.

Indeed it doesn't on BTYahoo, but it can be seen when hovering over the folder name. A few more characters are visible if "basic Mail" is chosen (well 29 rather than 14).
Sorry to continue this but this is really an issue for me using BT Email.
I understand that you state the ability to expand the Folder left hand section is NOT possible using Yahoo.com and to use BT Email. However no matter what URL I access online for BT mail, when signing in, it always reverts to a Yahoo mail screen which means I cannot see my Folder hierarchy to file emails and find emails as they all look the same as only shows 14 characters.
HOW can I sign in to BT Email and get BT Mail up and not Yahoo?
Peter Wright
You can not sign into BTMail or see/use the BTMail webpage. BT are running two email systems at present.
There is the BTMail email system and BTYahoo email system which you are on.
They are two totally separate systems and you can not access one from the other.
The log on page for both the BT email systems is
If you are being redirected to Yahoo, not BTYahoo you should try clearing the history, cookies and cache from your browser.

Are you sure it's a Yahoo login and not simply saying Yahoo top left, as well as BT and the globe as well?
If so, to see 29 characters you will need to use Basic mail - to get this click the Cog and down to More Settings. You will then see a Switch to basic Mail towards bottom left.
..........or just use a mail client.
LOL, you CANNOT use an e-mail client or at least I can't. No email client I've tried can login to my account!
Crappy webmail is the ONLY way I can send/receive emails.
FYI I've used a client for years.
Even though my server is setup as mail.btinternet.com webmail page says BTYahoo mail top left corner, clicking on that I get sent to BT's home page..sigh.
BT support has been lees than helpful!!
