BT web mail very slow to load this morning, Inbox, opening email all very painfully slow. G mail, and other web mail services all OK.
The new BT email takes about 10 secs to load my inbox and a similar amount of time to send a message. I have a good broadband speed and no similar problems with my gmail account.
This is a very poor service compared to the old system
Hello
I am having this problem too
Also, contacts who have previously auto filled are now not and I'm having to go and find those contacts and add them. It's very annoying!
Have you looked in your contacts?
There is a trash box there
about 100 of my contacts were in the trash box so had to transfer them - time consuming but worthwhile
Hi, I appreciate the contributions here for solving some of the annoying problems we've all experienced with the new email migration. I've been using BT now for 20 years of so and have to say the migration has been a disaster. As many have said before including within the link below, it's as if we've gone back to the stone age. So many bugs here to fix and no apparent hurry, but key problem which I am now experiencing is slow download of emails when logging in. Seems to take eternity to load my inbox. Essentially anything I do within the inbox causes the list of past mails to disappear, then have download wheel for 20-30 seconds. Despite having Fibre speeds, it's as if we've gone back to the old dial up modem experience. Despite the main thread of this community question being about similar slow response, I have not seen any reply specifically. Like I said, 20 years of service but I am desperately trying to find a reason to remain with BT. I've always liked the service, but life in the slow lane simply cannot work. Anybody having same problems please let me know if you resolved. I don't have the patience any longer to ring support team.
It is also painfully slow using IMAP with Outlook.
My email is also suddenly very slow, have tried on a different machine with the same symptoms.
Slow to load, access folders and individual emails.
This needs sorting ASAP, as is very frustrating.
Not just slow, but stopped - " Unexpected error "
I am hoping that the system is 'permanently' stopped, and we can go back to the decent system that we used to have
