... with the result that I can only access one of my email accounts. Does anyone know how long this is going on for and/or is there another way I can get into the others?
Thanks
Many thanks, Keith - that worked (first time, but not second...). At least I've managed to check the other accounts for now.
Do you know how long this is going on for...?
Using the BT home page for mail is not really the best way, as you get all the adverts.
This is another link which may work every time https://signin1.bt.com/login/emailloginform
An email client, like Thunderbird, is a better way to fetch your email from one or more accounts.
No - that second link only takes me to my main account, as does the first one now... I don't get the drop down box to access the other accounts with either of them.
I take your point about using an email client but - silly question - once "downloaded", do my emails remain accessible from the BT website? My recollection of a much earlier ISP was that they didn't which is why I stopped using one.
Thanks.
Provided the email client is configured as IMAP, then the emails will remain on the server until you delete them. You will also see the full folder structure.
If you are currently connected to your home broadband, take a look at this link.
Using the Thunderbird e-mail client - IMAP connection
You can add multiple accounts provided you give each a different name.
But what's the "something new" being launched? Let's have some speculation! They're not upgrading the not-fit-for-purpose legacy software perchance?
Thanks, Keith - I will check that out.
Meanwhile, I guess you don't know when "normal" service is likely to be restored so, if it's not up and running by the end of the morning, and neither of your links have started to work again, I shall start hassling BT Broadband...
Very grateful for your advice...
Not sure what is going on, as I do not use webmail.
Even the 'My BT' app on my ipad isn't working!
