My wifi disc no longer pairs wireless with the Hub. It was working correctly yesterday but now will not pair. I have tried resetting both the disc and Hub with no joy. Following the 'connect new disc' instructions on the app the disc light turns solid blue whilst connected to ethernet and then once disconnected just goes red then flashes blue and never goes solid blue. I read some other questions my firmware updated yesterday could this be the root of the problem?

It can flash blue for a minute or more on reconnecting before becoming stable
Hi - can't help in solving it but I am having the same issue - did you manage to find a fix?
Yep same problem here. Firmware upgrade on the SH2 on 3rd Jan and noticed the black disk started to flash blue. Reset and reconnected via Ethernet all Ok but when I then disconnected the Ethernet and placed the disk remotely, it won’t stop flashing blue. Spoke to BT and they were not sure so sending new disk. We’ll see what happens.
We’ve had the same issue, this morning (8th Jan 2021) both my black disks were flashing blue. I’ve rebooted the hub, rebooted the disks and the problem continues. In addition, the Wi-fi signal from the hub itself has been intermittent, yet the app suggests we have a very good or excellent signal.
I tried the BT chat service, which was unmanned presumably because of Covid-19 and no one answered the phone. So I’m stuck. Like another person with this problem, I’m just as interested in WHY it happened as in what to do about it.
Also, does the firmware update itself or do I have to do that?
There's been a few threads on this subject recently and on at least one of them, the fix was to set the wireless mode of the the hub to mode 1.
Before anyone enlightens me, I'm aware that mode 1 is the default but it seems that some people have found their hub to be operating in some other mode for whatever reason and the fault has cleared when they returned it to mode 1
Absolute legend. Thanks for sharing. This did the trick. Was set to mode 2, changes to mode 1 and we are back in business.

Just be aware that, if you have at some time in the past selected mode 2 in order to overcome a problem of some sort, then that problem may now resurface
