MSOutlook by choice but that is not free. Of the free ones I think Claws Mail or eMclient are preferable to Thunderbird which I find has a quirky interface. Try them all and see which suits you.

Is there any update on this, just had pointless online chat and phone call with BT, they state unaware of envy issues. Still have a primary email address never heard off and emails rejecting.
The help desk appear to operate in a parallel universe.
