BT6000 signal not working

Hi there, I've had my bt6000 2 months and the signal has just stopped working. When you have the parent unit beside the camera it works, but put a anything between the two devices (even your own body) and the connection is lost. If you put your hand over the top left hand corner of the parent device the connection is also lost. Any ideas what this could be?

It may have developed a fault and needs to be returned to the retailer for a replacement.
