Re: Update now available

Go to solution

Still not working on my Fire TV.   It is working on my iPad and my Android phone and BT TV is linked to my BT account so I cannot have an account issue.  By the way the link in a previous post does not take me to the BT TV app extra, I would be prepared to buy it again even though I must already have it.  Link just takes me to the BT store where there is no sign of the wretched app.   Seriously hacked oof.

It’s working for me on my fire tv cube, what I’d like to see though is an option to choose quality like Netflix have as I don’t think the algorithm for quality works that well and I constantly get blurred images while it readjusts and tries to aim for HD.....it’s quite distracting when it does it mid football game

@Ginnyfizz what error do you see? If it's ZS001 then the issue isn't with your subscription - it's a known issue with the app on some devices ,and a fix will be available shortly.

Hi, I have deleted the app and reinstalled but I am still getting the same error. Can you please help?

Edit. I have read the rest of the messages and see it's a known problem still

Any news on this update that is ‘close’? Still can’t get into the app. If it continues I’ll have to cancel my bt sports. With my home set up only way for me to watch it is through the fire tv.

The update was approved by Amazon earlier today. I estimate it should become available for install within the next hour or 2. I'll update here as soon as we've confirmed that it's there.

Re: Update now available

A quick post on this subject. I’d removed my fire tv when I got a new Samsung smart tv that had a BT Sport app three weeks back.
Today as an experiment looking at picture quality through different sources - Sky, the Samsung’s app and the Fire TV BT Tv app - I plugged it back in this morning and it worked fine. This afternoon when I tried again I got the error reported in this thread. (Maybe it updated automatically to an incompatible version this morning?) But at least I know I’m not the only one!

Incidentally if anyone’s interested PQ is a bit better using the Fire TV compared to the Samsung App but both are clearly worse than watching through Sky. I suspect I will cancel BT TV when it’s up for renewal (I only have it for the access to sport)

New update now available

Go to solution

I can confirm that the app update is now there in the Amazon App Store. Devices should update over the next 24 hours, or you can uninstall and then reinstall to pick up the update immediately. This update fixes the ZS001 issue, and also enhances the reporting so that if this issue happens again we'll immediately be able to tell why.

The new version is "2.0.3", but this is currently only visible from Settings -> Applications -> Manage Installed Applications -> BT TV
