I have been opted-out of BT wifi for a long time. However, since getting BT Infinity and my new BT Smarthub - Type A just over a week ago, it is giving out BTWifi-with-Fon and BTWifi-X signals. I'd like these switched off.
I tried a live chat session with India but all I ended up with was a link to the BT website page which, after entering my details, just confirmed I am opted-out. Can one of the moderators get the BT wifi signals turned off please?

The process is automatic, and the configuration will be updated next time the servers contact the home hub.
Thanks for a speedy reply. Can you give me some idea of how often the BT servers contact our hubs and update the BT wifi settings?

Look for ppp1:TR69 ConnectionRequest: processing request from ACS
in the system log on this link.
Set log filter to select TR69 category events only, otherwise you will never find them
