Silly question maybe but have old accounts been removed?
I used to access my old openworld account once or twice a year via webmail but email address no longer seems accepted via BT email login or yahoo.
Can I assume it has been deleted along with all data?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I'm pretty sure any email addresses not accessed for 90 days are deleted for inactivity, with the contents deleted and can't be recovered.
This might vary if it's a Yahoo account though, you could try contacting BT and see if they can help.

Hi.
If the account hasn't been accessed in 150 days (an initial 90 days, then 60 days grace to get the email address re-instated), then it can be deleted along with everything held within.
Only on very rare occasions have accounts been able to be resurrected.
If you had data in the account you wished to keep, then a backup routine of using an app/client is really a necessity.
Wasn't looking to reactivate it as such.
More keen to know if I no longer have access to it that all the data is deleted.

Yes, once deleted all content is also removed.
Oddly emails don't bounce back when sent to the address. Is that normal for a deleted account?
Yes, for some strange reason.
