Re: How to stop Auto Forwarding email on BT Yahoo

Thanks but on the link it says select settings, click accounts etc.

....but accounts isn't an option. These are old instructions for an old system, I'm afraid. At least they aren't options on my webmail.

Hope the mods can help!

BT & Yahoo have a lot of outdated links, they never put a date of publication/last update on their pages - which simply isn't good enough.

The feature has been removed like I said, and the mods have asked Yahoo to check for a couple of people. However I don't anticipate a generic answer, only one person at a time.

Re: How to stop Auto Forwarding email on BT Yahoo

Hi Mr/Ms/Mx Moderator.

Still trying to stop email forwarding from my old btinternet.com (yahoo) email address. People on this forum are saying that only you can help?

Anyone know how to reach the 'mods' in case they haven't seen this?

Thanks

Matt

The mods are only a very small team and are extremely busy, they will have seen your problem and will hopefully get back to you soon.

“Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your continued patience while we have been investigating.  I am very sorry that you are still unable to manage your auto forwarding settings on BT Yahoo mail.

We’re working with our suppliers to find a solution for you but this is taking a little longer than we’d hoped.  At the moment I don’t have a timescale as to when this will happen but I am hopeful within the next couple of weeks.  As soon as I get confirmation that this has been done I will return here to confirm.  When the change is pushed through it will have an immediate effect on your end.

Thanks again for bearing with us, we really appreciate it.

Cheers”

Neil

Hi All,  Thank you for your patience whilst we have worked with our suppliers to resolve this issue. Users should now have the ability to remove add or remove forwarding addresses via the New Mail interface.

Settings
More Settings
Mailboxes
primary mailbox account
Under Forwarding, click the red "Remove" button, and follow any prompts that appear

Thanks
John

Thanks for the update.

I assume Yahoo messed up 18 months ago when they removed this feature? Did they offer any explanation at all?

(Note it's not available in classic view).
