Hi @Bowood1a Sorry you have not been able to remove the Auto Forwarding. I've replied to your PM also.
cheers
John
Hi @Bowood1a Thanks for the screenshot and glad to hear that you have now switched off the auto forwarding that was previously set up.
Cheers
John
Very many thanks John for sorting this out.
So just to be clear, is forwarding meant to be working and was left out of recent changes or is forwarding not meant to be working and I should not set up new stuff on it?.
I was not using it as when I needed to I noticed it no longer existed but it now seems to be back as a result of this thread and possibly others. Is it permanent or temporary whilst the popel that know about the issue fix it.
Since the BT/Yahoo system was changed with what seems like minimal input from BT and frankly has resulted in so much grief for so many people, it begs the question as to why BT has not got a better handle on this much sooner.

It's a good set of questions. BT Mail has forwarding of course ...
Because we are never told the reasons for anything - BT are appalling in this regard - I can't see any answers being given. The indication when it was initially removed 18 months ago or so is that the forwarding would be stopped. Clearly that wasn't the case, and maybe Yahoo simply changed their product setup with BT. There could be quite a few reasons for that, maybe BT pay more money for more services etc.
Someone should have checked how many people had forwarding setup before removing the feature. Or maybe they did, but were told duff info etc
Again, having 2 different mail suppliers is nonsense, especially when they provide different features.
Many thanks again to all of you who have helped in getting us this far.
A BT Resolutions Advisor is due to complete and end to end review of this issue by tomorrow and I will update in due course.
Thats an intestering idea as i think some people will be paying £7.50/mth for this service if they have left BT but kept their email service.
Thing I've noticed about the whole of BT's web services leaves a lot to be desired and it's been interesting each time one goes to one of their sites there are yet more changes that make little sense if they even work!
Whilst i only really use the systems to get my billing stuff i generally will ring them for most other stuff if i get a foreign based call centre its usually just a case of uk centre are overloàded imho unless recently bt has moved all centres back to uk now.
The review by the newcastle technical complaints team is now complete and whilst I am not jumping for joy at the outcome I should say that since their involvement they have done exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Their involvement was triggered by an email from me to the BT CEO.
The technical fix is effective and I am therefore now marking this as Accepted
Thanks again to all who offered insight and support
What was the fix then so others can use it perhaps if they need to.
