Baby monitor 6000 parent unit has stopped working

Hi, I have owned the monitor less then 4 months and the parent unit has just stopped working. Won’t turn on. Shows blue light when charging and a green light all the time.  Any ideas? It’s a lot of moneys worth to stop working after 4 months. Thanks

@Miranda11155

You would need to contact the shop where you bought it, but first have a word with the product support team.

The details are -

By phone: 0808 100 6554

Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

By email: Click here for email support

I have just spent 45 minutes on hold trying to get through to someone, the shop have said I need to contact BT as they won’t send out a replacement parent unit.

I would have expected the shop to arrange repair, refund, or replacement, even if it has to replace both parts.

Can I claim with the manufacturer or the retailer?

If your product develops a fault, your rights to make a claim and get your money back lie with the retailer who you purchased the product from.

Don’t be fobbed off by retailers who encourage you to go to manufacturers in the first six months. Remember, it’s down to you – you have the right to pursue a faulty goods claim with the retailer rather than a warranty or guarantee claim with the manufacturer."

They have said because I didn’t choose the replacement cover at another £100 cost they won’t replace it.

I cannot see how this customer to customer forum can help with this, you will have to seek advice elsewhere, but I think the retailer has it wrong. You may get suggestions from other forum members.

I have the same problem. My monitor stopped working in the middle of the night ( hopefully my kids were ok) and it wont start again. I can only see the green light of the charge on !!!

As was said above:

"hold down power and menu".

I held them down until the lights on the front of the unit flashed and the green light went off. Then it turned back on ok afterwards.
