no a factory reset will not change the existing firmware so no update required
connection time is on 24sec so was that a manual reset?
I am surprised if you have been dropping connection as often as you say that the noise margin is still about normal 6db and also that your latency is fast. normally first thing DLM will do with dropping connect is to change latency to interleaved
No it had just crashed and it's happened several times since. Yeah it is really unusual, while everything is up it's running smoothly and pretty quickly, but the constant reboots are making it near unusable.
if it is causing problems with your phone and broadband then sounds more like a line fault than just a hub fault. I would phone customer services and get engineer visit
