Hi,
Unsure when or when this happened, however my wife's email account is listed as 'gifted' under my Friends and Family rather than one of my 'Active Email Accounts', I dont want to risk losing her emails etc.
I see this is quite common, could some advise please how I can bring her account back into my 'Active Email Accounts'.
Many thanks in advance.

Why would you lose her emails?
You/she would only lose the email account if you leave BT Broadband or she does not access the email account at any time within a 90 day period.

If you have gifted the email account to her all that means is that she now manages it and if she has changed the password you will not have access to it without knowing the password.
Because it is still one of your 11 email accounts available to you after it is gifted all you can do with the account is delete it if you wanted to.
See link about gifted email accounts.
Hi,
Thanks for the prompt response - I have the passwords and yes can access the account from my BT ID under gifted.
However she has been having issues with her email account using an iPhone, although the client settings are all correct, intermittently when she deletes emails on her iPhone, she gets blank spaces in her inbox within the mail app and after a while her account starts failing to sync, meaning we have to delete it from the iPhone then recreate.. a real pain.
I've been working on this issue for weeks now, I'm convinced its not the iPhone or the mail client as I have the same iPhone, the same BT account settings and mine works fine.. However there are differences within the folder structure of her email inbox.. eg. where I have a 'trash' for my deleted emails she has a 'bin' and for some odd reason, there are also other differences also in the native folder structure. I'm wondering if her account was every fully exported by BTYahoo?
The only difference I can see between our accounts is, mine is managed and hers is gifted. Hence asking to bring her account back in to my active accounts.
Hope that wasn't too much detail, it's been a real challenge getting this far.
Many thanks
Did you at some point gift the account to her and did she accept it as per the link I posted or has this apparently happened by its self.
How does her account folders etc look and act if she uses webmail (via a browser).
It was 'years' ago.. but yes I must of gifted it, and yes she must of accepted it or the account wouldn't of worked at all.
From a web perspective it looks fine.
I appreciated the comments back, but are you BT support? are you able to move this account back for me?
This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. I am just a customer like you and I can not move the account for you.
Because it has been gifted to another person there are obviously security issues regarding moving the email account back to your account which would mean that you would be able to access it, albeit you say that you are allowed to do that at present.
I have notified the moderators of the forum about your request. Once they have read this they may be able to help. They are very busy at present so it can take up to 48 hours for them to contact you. They will do this by posting on this thread.
Hi @Dmx_99,
Welcome to the Community and that you for posting. As long as your Wife is okay with you having that email back and gives us her consent then we should be able to move that email address back to your "Active Email Accounts."
If you send me in your details, I'll be more than happy to help you with this.
I have sent you a private message with instructions on how to contact me. You can access your messages via the envelope icon at the top right of the screen, or click on this link, Private messages
Thanks
PaddyB
@Dmx_99 Still not clear why you think it needs to be done though. The email address is linked to your account whether it is a gifted address or not.
Hi
Due to email issues and as I said, I have two BT email accounts and the one with issues has a different folder structure within and is gifted hence, by bringing it in line with my other emails accounts might resolve my issue.
thanks
It won't. They are two different email accounts.
