Re: Broadband Connection Keeps Dropping - ERROR_NO_CARRIER

My IP profile is currently set at 6126Kbps and my DSL connection rate is 6944 Kbps. My last speedtest gave the download speed as 5616 Kbps. I've seen a ratio of 88.2% mentioned elsewhere in the forum. Is there an expected ratio of profile to connection?

88.2% is the ratio or your profile to your connection speed - check yours

Re: Broadband Connection Keeps Dropping - ERROR_NO_CARRIER

Good news. An Openreach Engineer today (thanks to the moderator for arranging) and he discovered a fault at the exchange. The issue appears to have been a secon set of broadband wires connected to my line. These were disconnected and the line stats in terms of speed have increased to over 8Mbps from 7Mbps. The issue we've had was frequent disconnects, so will monitor for 24 hours before rejoicing!

Re: Broadband Connection Keeps Dropping - ERROR_NO_CARRIER

Line has now been up for more than 24hours, first time since 9th December following hardware fix at the exchange. Previously connection was dropping up to 15 times per day.

IP profile has gone up from around 6100Kbps to 7150Kbps

Connection Rate has gone up from around 7000Kbps to 8275Kbps

The Noise margain for Down seems to have gone down about 1.5dB to 7.9dB

For my Attenuation of 47.dB Klitz estimates
adsl2+ (21CN) 6400 kbps IP Profile 5500 kbps

But my profile is 7150Kbps... my line stats are as follows. Any idea why the IP profile is over 1Mbps higher than predicted?
HH3 Stats.

you look like you are on a very good line and will be getting a better speed then the Kitz prediction it could yet go higher when your noise margin reachs its default 6
