Broadband Dropping off continually (First Time ever)

Hi, this is the first time this has happened

Im on a Bt Infinity Package (for approx 18 months no problems)

Im running on WIFI

2 laptops on wifi

One Xbox 360

2 tablets

2 phones

Sky TV link

(Not all running at same time or sparingly used, no streaming except Xbox 360 for gameplay)

Has been crashing several times in last few days?

It seems to be a major issue when the Xbox now connects to Xbox Live online and their is an online game

Disconnected ADSL Router + Homehub and shut down all wifi linked items

Switched off for 5 minutes (as suggested by BT) reconnected ADSL Router/Homehub, then reconnected all devices

Crashed within 10 minutes and a few times more after this

Have done line test on 17070 #2 and the line is perfectly clear (telephone line)

Have done BT line test for fault - No fault

No apparent broadband faults in my area reported by BT

Have accessed homehub router page

Refreshed connection on Wifi

Disconnected, Reconnected Homehub

Just created a 5Ghz connection with new SSID to run alongside standard 2.4Ghz standard Wifi connection

swapped all devices becuase they claim connection is clearer and better for WIFI, except PC across to new connection, seems to work fine, but still experience crashes

Have reset Homehub and now post the following Event Log, so this is where I believe someone can help ID

the actual proplem (I hope)

Could someone with the right knowledge of the system please take a look at the event log and analyse the information

I see there are a number of errors and would like to know why these errors are occuring?

Can someone advise if this event log looks OK, or is there some issues that need addressing

Thanks

Re: Broadband Dropping off continually (First Time ever)

You would be much better connecting the Xbox using an Ethernet cable, or broadband extenders. A wireless connection is going to give poor results, especially if you have other devices connecting.

Re: Broadband Dropping off continually (First Time ever)

Hi Keith

Thanks for the advice

The Xbox has been connected on the WIFI since the BT Infinty upgrade without any previous issues

so its been fine for atleast 18 mths, although yes it would perform better I know.

I will check your help pages,

thanks

But im still curious as to why im getting "invalid" and "blocked" errors in the event logs

so any advice or interpretation from an Engineer or BT "Techie" would be most helpful

Thanks
