Broadband Keeps dropping over and over... SERIOUSLY

Come on BT, what is going on?

My Broadband keep dropping, stopping me from accessing the Internet and Xbox Live, the screen with the instructions that don't help at all comes up continually.

Is this a problem on BT's end or mine? I would really like to have this sorted out because its been happening repeatedly for the past couple of weeks.

Re: Broadband Keeps dropping over and over... SERIOUSLY

if possible please can you post the adsl stats from your router may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or use a-z, if netgear enter 192.168.0.1) and run btspeedtester http://speedtester.bt.com and post the results.

are you connected to the NTE5 master or test socket or somewhere else? Do you have any phone extension sockets in your home? It may be that you should try the test socket and see if that gives a better and more stable connection

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone

Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

Re: Broadband Keeps dropping over and over... SERIOUSLY

I too have had great speeds in the morning then afternoon either little or no speeds.  Have spoken to India three times the latest yesterday and was told my problem is at my exchange yet I can get onto the net.  Have been told that I should have a phone call withing 24 hrs this was 20:00 yesterday.  Still waiting for one from thursday, need to speak someone in england not india as I am going deaf and unable to understand what they are saying in certain places.  I am using a Belkin router any ideas as to what I should put in to check.
