Since yesterday morning i became aware of an issue with my Broadband speed.
I did a speed check on Speedtest.net and i watched the graph evolve and it resembled a heart rate monitor,up and down peaks and valleys.
On the BT wholesale performance test site,it just comes back with headline readings.
Tried another BT modem and it was still the same.
I know there is something wrong but i cannot fathom it,website pages do not load as smoothly.
Any help please.

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the adsl stats from your router you may need to 'show detail' to get all stats (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser and navigate to adsl or if HH4/5 then go to troubleshooting then logs and you are looking for 2 line together when hub last connected to internet and they will show your connection speed and noise margin or if netgear enter 192.168.0.1). Then run btspeedtester (MAC users may have problems). when first test completes then run diagnostic test and post the results ( do not reset the router).
Must be done with wired connection
enter your phone number and post results remember to delete number https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
are you connected directly via a filter to the NTE5 master or test socket or to somewhere else? Is the master the only phone socket in your home?
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem

if it's a hh4 then 2 lines look like this
13:28:24, 16 Dec. ( 498.820000) DSL noise margin: 15.00 dB upstream, 6.00 dB downstream
13:28:24, 16 Dec. ( 498.750000) DSL line rate: 448 Kbps upstream, 2592 Kbps downstream
can you post btspeedtester diagnostic results using wired conenction
From btspeedtester results download speed looks good
Those two information lines you say i should see,i cannot for the life of me find them.
I have just come back on the internet and this is what is recorded.

if hh4 then go to helpdek then logs/wan and tou should ee the 2 lines when router last connected to internet - check for connection time in hub stats for an idea where to look
try posting hub stats from the helpdesk
