My broadband cuts out every day on several occasions, And i cant even connect to the hub let alone the net until i reset it on the button on the actual hub, Does anyone have any solutions? Thanx
Here's my stats
|Connection time||0 days, 2:39:46|
|Noise margin (Down/Up)||9.4 dB / 8.6 dB|
|Line attenuation (Down/Up)||15.0 dB / 7.2 dB|
|Output power (Down/Up)||21.1 dBm / 12.4 dBm|
Stats seem good, noise margin is higher than optimal (6dB) but not by much... How long have you had the router? Do you have another router you can check it on? Just wondering if your current one is faulty because those stats dont flag up any issues imo...
That's the same problem I'm having and I've tried two routers and still get the same problem. Another bt hub and a netgear router. The internet seems to stop dead at different times of the day and gets worse in the evening, hence why the wireless gets cut off. Trouble is, resetting your router will get your profile knocked back.

Yeah but i cant do anything with it unless i reset it.
From looking at your line status i can tell you have tryed ringing bt. (how close do you hav to be to get the full adsl max)
I would really like to know whats the problem here as my friend who dont hav the time to post/ring/email is also suffering with this problem.
Seems to me the preset config profiles seem to faver long distence customers but at what point dose adsl max work fully? and without problems?
The max speed ive had is 8meg, On a 20meg subsricption, I just lose total connection with the Hub, and need to reset it to get back on, Really is annoying.
I'm having same problems. Was working fine via ethernet cable, then one night after using net perfectly fine during the day, it stopped working saying network cable unplugged.
Rang BT BB Tech and ended up changing over to wireless setup. This has since developed same problem. Sometimes the ethernet connection will get working again by itself but doesn't last.
Today connection has ceased 3 times in 1hr 30 mins.
Each time I have to reset the hub.
A permanent solution to this annoying problem would be appreciated thanks
Yeah, If this isnt resolved within my 3 months free im getting them to rip it out, Not paying £40 a month for this.
This is strange. If a few of us are getting the same problem then maybe it's a misconfiguration somewhere after recent changes at the exchange or something. I've just switched over to my Netgear again and so far I've not been locked out. My broadband is still dying at intervals but at least I can look in my router stats and logs without having to restart the hub. It's not idea because I can't get my broadband talk phone working with it but it's better than nothing right now and my wireless doesn't die at the same time with the Netgear.
