One of my broadband extenders has a flashing power light and will not reset - is there any way of forcing it? I've tried switching off and on and pressing the 'link' button as per the instructions.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try a factory reset on both units. Post back with the make and model if you don't know how
Thanks for your reply.
I only know what BT instructions say - press the 'Link' button for 15 seconds. The units are 'Broadband extender Flex 500'.
I'd be delighted to try anything you can suggest.

Andy
That's all there is to do if it's the extender that you have, the WiFi hotspot has a pinhole in the side that you press for one second.
If you've done a reset on both units and it's still failing then it sounds like you have a faulty one.
Just make sure that neither is plugged into an extension socket, particularly one with a surge suppressor
Thanks. They are definitely broadband extenders , have concluded that one is faulty, replacement on the way.
