Broadband failed to activate

i have recently transfered to bt, i subscribed to tv,phone and broadband package

My activation for my home hub was 6 days ago and im still waiting,  i have called bt on various occasions and been told the same thing i will be contacted within the next 24hours by the specialist tem which is never forthcoming

 

i have been told that they will contact me eventually and it could be one of several faults inc wrong equiptment on my part (bt sent me the equip) not enough space

 

i have noticed in the last hour or so that a btOpenzone and BTZon has appeared in the connect to a network box

 

Has anyone else had this problem as im trying to stay patient but finding it increasingly difficult and if so how long  did it take to resolve

 

i know each case is different and im propberly 1 customer in about 1million but any input would be very helpful

Do you have a BT Home Hub 2 (black curvey router)?

 

If so and you have it plugged in to the mains and the phone line connected then you should see:

 

3-4 blue lights (power, broadband, wireless and possibly phone if you asked for broadband talk).

 

If the broadband light is red then you are not connected.

If it is then you are connected to the www.

yep i have the bt home hub 2

when it's plugged in and phone connected there is no light at all on the broadband light bit

well that just confirms it. BB has NOT been activated.Smiley Surprised

 

You could try sending an email to forum.moderation.team@bt.com

Include the main BT account holders name, the account number, as you're not connected possibly the order number and a link to this thread.

They will be able to sort this out for you!Smiley Happy

if u move your phoneline back to bt then you have to wait 10 days before you can even order broadband unless they've changed it - but this was the case when i moved back a couple of years ago
