I go into MT BT and select 'upgrade Broadband', the system then gives me several ' personalised offers', one of which is my current deal ( fibre 1)discounted by £5 per month under a new 24 month contract. I choose this and , the next page, has no such discount and has the following message
Fibre options are not listed, you're not eligible for those packages.
Because you're already a BT broadband customer, the package you selected isn't available.
Any ideas?
My offer is better than that. If I sign up for another 24 months I can have exactly what I have now for only £1 a month more. Tempted.
The offer is for new customers. Try phoning the options team who are dealing with renewals and see what you can negotiate 0800800030
Thanks, but I think this was supposed to be aimed at me personally, as I went in through my own account, it showed me what I was paying now, then came up with a number of ' personalised' offers. These are nowhere near as generous as those for new customers. I will be phoning them to discuss.
Blimey , perhaps I should quickly accept my ' offer' then ( Not !)
There are numerous posts like yours but the customers have been able to negotiate good deals after phoning the options team - but up to you
