Re: Broadband signal drops out when landline in use

Does the broadband drop connection when you receive a call?

have you tried using the test socket with a new filter and see if it still happens

Re: Broadband signal drops out when landline in use

It drops out whether we make or receive a call, and we have no test socket.

phone line works fine and broadband works as long as phone is not in use

Re: Broadband signal drops out when landline in use

if dropping connection when phone rings that sounds like high resistance fault which you need to report a phone fault to 151 with no mention of broadband

try quiet line test  dial 17070 option 2  should be quiet and best with corded phone

Re: Broadband signal drops out when landline in use

Thanks for your help. The problem seems to have solved itself without me taking any action, and the landline is also much clearer. Open reach were in the area recently so may be whatever they gave done has solved it, who knows.
