Broadband speed recent drop IP Profile stuck low at 2 Mbps

I am new to the forum and I am having trouble with a stuck IP Profile?  I noticed that my speed seemed to have dropped off been low for a couple of weeks, i left everything as is in the hope that it would recover, there was no improvement so I ran a Speed Test.  My speed was nearly always at 5 to 6 Mbps, and my IP Profile always used to be 7 Mbps.

I have been in contact via online chat and was informed there was a faut and it would be sorted within 24 hrs!

there was no improvement so i got in touch again, answered all the questions again this time informed

"I have checked the line for you and I found that there is a fault in the network... I am escalating this case to the Engineers Team (Network Faults Team)" so bassically BT did nothing!

 

i ran the online test again today with the following results

 

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.82 Mbps
 For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
 Additional Information:
 Your DSL Connection Rate :8.13 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
 IP Profile for your line is - 2 Mbps

Hi Welcome to the forums

 

 

It looks like you may have a stuck IP Profile if you can post your hub stats so we can see your connection details  this will help us 

once you can show 3+days stable connectionwe can put you intouch with the forum moderators who are UK based BT specialists who can arrange a manual reset of your IP Profile

i have a TPlink w8960n router not a BT hub connected.

OK will do

what do you make of the ADSL router details they don't look too bad to me but i am no expert in this field i'm better with avionics!

Engineers have been in touch and said there was aproblem at the exchange.

All now is working well, broadband speed is back up at 6-7 Mbs and ip profile has changed for the better.
