Broadband speed very slow?

Just recently my broadband speed has dropped from 3.5mb download to less than 1mb. This makes doing anything almost impossible, this has been going on since Tuesday the 20th of November I thought I would leave it a few days before making a post to see if the speed would pick up but nothing, ive also tried resetting the hub a few times, also I have replaced the micro filter.
