Re: Broadband usage on BT

i have the same situation regading usage where since changing to fibre BT are saying my usage has more than doubled fron 20g to over 40 and charged a fee. its a joke! their explanation is... someone has my security key! which is rubbish. only my family and the bt engineer saw it. the monitor has recored anything between 4.47g in 24hrs to 0.3 . the 4.47 was when we were all out for the entire day and only surfing for a short while before bed! when ever i check connected devices its alway only our own. there is a problem and its about time ofcom took it seriously.

Re: Broadband usage on BT

I dont like the bald statement on the bill  "Broadband excess £5"

How much has it gone over by and if its a fixed charge of £5 per 5 Gb that is profiteering if I have only gone up to 1 or 2Gb over the limit.

A fairer system, which I am sure Ofcom would agree with, would be to charge £1 per Gb or part thereof.

Anyone agree with this?

Re: Broadband usage on BT

it was changed from a £1.00 per Gb some time ago to £5.00 for 5Gb in line with other ISPs did you not check your usage on the usage checker regularly ?
