Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Could you run a speedtest on speedtester.bt.com? I would be interested to see if your ip profile has risen.

And even though the wireless channel is on 13, the connection still drops? 😕 is this with the laptop or the xbox?

Also are you using the HomeHub2 or 3?

I'm using the Hub 3

My laptop wouldn't connect from a few feet away a minute ago, haven't even tried xbox. I will run speed test now if everything stays connected.

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

When you run the speedtest, is it possible that you could do it when your are connected to the hub via Ethernet cable. Also make sure the only device connected is the one you perform the speedtest on and that the only application on your PC that is running is the Internet browser and the only tab you have open is the speedtest one.

I have something we can try bt I would like you to perform the speedtest first. 🙂

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your broadband line, it is excellent!

Was there a problem with your home hub 2 or did you just use the hub 3 because it is newer? 🙂

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

If I may suggest, If it isn't too much trouble, that you use the home hub 2 instead of the 3 and see what the wireless range is like then. I have read that there is problems in the firmware for the home hub 3. 🙂
