Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Did you restart the hub or did it drop signal and therefore resync? Is your wireless working yet? Other than that your line stats are **bleep** good!

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

By the way as I haven't a clue I see some peoples downloads and Uploads are capped?

Are my downloads and Uplaods capped? what is SNR also? what is the number for line noise etc as I want to check all possibilities if possible.

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Your line speeds are not capped and there is nothing wrong with your SNR, your line stats are perfectly good. The problem lies in that the wireless signal broadcaster seems to be faulty which is a fault within the hub itself

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Ohh ok, I was just asking as these questions seem to crop up in other threads. Thanks for clearing that up, by the way how is it you know all on BT Hubs and Broadband connections as this place seems to have been my best place for help anywhere.

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Well u gained most of my knowledge around this time last year when I came to the forums looking to increase my speed, lower my SNR and get my line change from adsl max to adsl2+ 21CN BTW, I was given lots of advice, I started to contribute in other threads, there were links given that I would read, and if I didn't understand something I would go and research it 🙂

Btw, you dint happen to have wireless router to hand that isn't a bt home hub do you?

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Oh right, must have been loads of reasearch over many months 🙂 .

No I don't sorry, I only have HH2 and HH3 of which both seem faulty as previously said 😞

Your son has been helping me also, it is weird to talk to someone around my age who has a vast knowledge of Computers etc. Most Teens I'm 19 still have basics on computers but when you get to nitty gritty we have no idea :(.

Back to your question, sorry I don't have any routers that aren't BT's. If need be I can ask around?

It's still Ian's son, Nathan 🙂 haha, my dad knows nothing about the Internet :') . I'm 16 btw, start 6th form next tuesday.

If you have any friends or neighbours that would be happy to let you borrow a wireless router to test then that would help give you more evidence for a faulty hub 🙂

Re: Broadband wireless can't connect:

Oh Hi Nathan 🙂

Yeah I will ask my next door neighbours etc if they have a spare router I can test, highly unlikely but I can only try.

I do have a mate who is going into IT business so he may be a good shot for me 😉
