For a few days now my internet has dropping on and off, anyone experiencing the same or is it just me and need to get to bt.
Is there any noise on your phone calls? Dial 17070 and select option 2, there should be no noise between the announcements.
I have had this problem for a while, every few days I have to do a reset by switching the Modem, a Halo Moden, off and restarting it. It’s very frustrating. My speed at best is around 5mps so not good at all.
what is a Halo modem?
I think that’s how they describe the latest Modem, apologies if I am wrong. I renewed a few months ago and they gave me this. I have a Computer in a bedroom and historically I have a poor Broadband there, the new Modem is quite consistent but keeps having to be reset.
so it is just the SH2 and halo is an addon to the normal package
if your hub is dropping connection have you checked for line noise on the landline?
you should try and avoid resetting the hub unless absolutely necessary as it can be seen by DLM as an unstable line resulting in increase noise margin and lower connection speed
We have had very slow broadband for months now. Just did sound check, no noise. Every time I phone BT the broadband slows down even more. Looking at 4 g as an option now.
I live in a Town where one of the Openreach cabinets need upgrading, they won’t do it. If they did we could get Fibre.
Not sure of the model but it’s how BT described it, fairly sure Halo needs fibre
