Bt home hub 5 power light going from blue to orange and connection dropoing

I had bt infinity installed 5 days ago. Since then the connection is not being maintained for more than 5 minutes. The power light goes from blue to orange but no broadband or wireless lights come on. It reconnects in seconds.

I know about the stabilisation period, but this seems excessive. Any idea if this is normal and will go after the 10 days? It doesn't seem that way to me.

Try one factory reset of the homehub by pressing a pin into the recess button on the rear for about 20 seconds if that does not help you should contact BT and report a fault with your broadband. Emphasise that it has been like that since day of the install. Even during the "training" period it should not be doing that and you should have a more stable connection.

Thanks for your reply - i've tried the factory reset and no joy. I've since sent a complaint to Bt and they've arranged a callback for tomorrow evening so knowing this is not normal behaviour will help me persuade them its a fault.
