We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
Thank you for the advise.
Looks like I shall be unable to do any remote working from home, or sending Emails from my work email client then. Thanks for the informatioin. Although Bt were made aware of the large file transfering during conversations, again records kept.
Thank you Ray.
You have all been very helpful with your posts and I appreciate your time taken to reply. Taken from the thread, there is no need to take any further action with BT due to guanteed speeds agreed and speeds obtained. And there is nothing I can do at my end to help.
I think that things are going round in circles here and not addressing your question.
It would appear that you are getting the best speed that your line can support. Because you are within the estimated speeds it is unlikely that BT will do anything to better your speeds and in particular by approx 5Mbps.
BT do not guarantee fixed speeds. They only give estimated speeds between the ranges on the estimate checker. If you were given a verbal guarantee from a member of BT staff and can prove that you were given that guarantee you may have grounds to be released from your contract without penalty.
The only way you will be able to ascertain this is by making a formal complaint to BT and await their response.
Thanks GG and again, Ray. And lic for your very informative replys
