I had a new install booked for tomorrow morning. Less than 24 hours before its due I just got a text and email saying its cancelled.
Now I understand but I'm also very annoyed as this situation with cov19 has been around for a while now so notice this short is unacceptable in my opinion. I could have made alternate arrangements.
I have a 4g mini hub but it keeps disconnecting and getting very hot to the touch so it's practically useless.
Email says don't worry as its an upgrade we won't loose our current service, well as I have moved home I don't have a service to use.
As an IT support engineer I was planning on working from home as of tomorrow but now I can't and will have to leave to go to the office. I have 3 small children in the house home schooling with no Internet access.
I will be calling customer services in the morning
Solved! Go to Solution.
This was nothing to do with BT Retail is was due to openreach announcement yesterday
Guess there's nothing I can do then.
Right hand not talking to the left hand. Had a text this morning confirming the job tomorrow.
Guess it's time to claim my 80% and sit it out.
and to add Insult to injury, the openreach engineer knocked on. I'm here to do the external work but I'm sorry but there is no FTTP here looks like you have been mis sold. Great. Ring back and ask for the copper to be enabled and it will be about 40mb not even 80mb
300, to 40. Gutted.
Even worse, openreach say that I cant even get FTTC due to the length of runs to my newly built property.
7Mbits tops 😞
