Ok, do you by any chance have another aerial cable somewhere else in the property you could use to plug in and test?
It is important to check these things because I will be looking to send you another box to test, and if we can avoid that you could get a working service faster 🙂
Alright then, a new box is on it's way in the post. Please keep a hold of the one you currently you have for now until I can arrange a courier to pick it up, thanks!
You can keep the remote if you think you'll have use for it, if you don't have a use for the power cable etc then just pop in the box.
No problem, let's keep in touch please I'd like to know if the new box makes a difference.
After receiving the replacement box and connecting it up exactly the same as my old box i still get a number of freeview channels that are unwatchable
This is so frustrating I feel like returning both boxes and cancelling my contract
Hi @Yorkey64
That's a shame, so hopefully that has helped prove that our Youview box wasn't faulty and points toward the signal coming in to the box instead.
Check this link: https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/platform-management/channel-listings
If the channels you have signal problems on fall into the same mux or same couple of muxes, you are receiving a poor signal from them.
At this stage, it is best that an aerial engineer has a look at this issue.
However we do have TV engineers who carry some equipment where they can help test and even fix some issues, if you're up for it we can send one to your home?
My dtr t2110 bt youview box which I purchased myself does a far better job of displaying all Freeview channels than the two dtr t4000 models a downgrade in my opinion and do not need a new aeriel to fix
How do I return the 2 boxes and cancel my contract
