Bttv comeback

Go to solution
Good afternoon, I've seen an upgrade offer on my account for £18.00 for the BTTV max bundle. If I was to come back is it possible to have the box I currently have (ultra HD) switched back on? Instead of going through the whole process of a be box?

@moonie2014

I don't think there would be a problem leaving the Ultra box in situ instead of a new box.

When I had (non multi-room) BT TV but used 2 BT supplied units in separate rooms I could switch my subscription from one to the other so I'd believe you'd be OK.

Most likely no, the reason being warranty, If BT supply you with a box and it goes wrong you'll get support, if you use the existing box and it goes wrong you'd not get a replacement but still be in a contract.

You don't have to use the new box but BT will supply one.

Re: Bttv comeback

Ok So I called BT Saturday to place an order, I ran out of time so a call was scheduled for today. To be fair I was contacted today but missed the call due to being on a call with work.

I was told on Saturday that they can't see that offer of 18.50 on my account and the price is now 24.00. however he would price match it for me at 18.50. brilliant!!!.
I called back today to place the order and try to talk to the person I spoke with sat and was told 24.00 is the price and nothing can be done. The offer is still on my account. Banging my head of a brick wall here.

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

I would suspect you will have to accept another box for support purposes, as already mentioned.
