Bypassing BT.com portal

Go to solution

Morning again,

On another topic relating to webmail, I have my Outlook and btinternet e-mails set as homepages on my browser on my own PC (note this is my own, not a shared work one).

Outlook is no issue, it stays logged in, and will quite happily display my inbox (unless I have physically signed out Smiley Happy) but I can't get straight access to my BT mailbox without going through the bt.com portal, which I don't want to have to do all the time.

Has anyone managed to circumvent the portal visit, and just open up their mailbox?

Thanks

Interesting behaviour this.

When I had the sign-in page visible, and I told Firefox to use the current page as home page, it went back to the portal next time, but having used Keith's link it seems to have held the page address.

May be more of a Firefox issue, but a niggle only. It's amazing what I can find when I'm having an insomniac moment 🙂

Its most likely due to a session cookie which is set when you visit the portal, and is not set when you go directly to the link I gave you.
