CRC HEC errors

Hello,

Is there any way the CRC / HEC could be reduced, 

"from your stats you have a lot of crc/hec errors and error seconds which will get worse at night and may well reduce your downnload/throughput making webpages slow to load."

The line sounds fairly quite (done with a cordless phone) and test done in test socket.

what do you mean by 'fairly quiet?  the quiet line test you should hear nothing with corded phone or possibly a dull hum with cordless.  if any noise then you need to report a phone fault to 151.  noise on the line is the normal cause of all the errors

Ok thanks imjolly, I will borrow a phone (all mine are cordless) and do a proper line noise test. Thanks for such a quick reply.
