I keep getting calls where the caller display shows INTERNATIONAL followed by a UK number (today's was a Cardiff number, for example). How do I interpret this display? I don't presently answer the calls as I suspect there's something dodgy about them (e.g. a spoofed number), and nobody ever leaves a message when I leave the phone ringing. So is it an international nuisance call with a faked UK number, or a legit UK call with its number caught in some kind of glitch?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Its a scammer using a spoofed number, ignore.
I work on the principle I only answer calls from numbers I recognise. If its a genuine caller they will leave a sensible message.

The call number will be a fake. These come occasionally. They come in batches- sometimes several per day, then nothing for a week.
BT Call Protect can detect or send some of these calls to junk, from a database of known junk callers, which if they leave a message, can be accessed from dialing 1572.
I get the same. I just hit the red 'end call' button on the phone.
