My caller display has stopped working - been like this a few weeks now - ever since my broadband and phone went down when they were working on the junction box opposite. It was working perfectly before then.
It just says incoming call whenever my phone rings - they've tried taking off caller display and reinstating it, but it still doesn't work. I've tried calling from my mobile to my landline so that should work - but no such luck
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Who provides your phone and broadband service?
Oddly enough, it’s BT - hence writing on a BT forum...
But having unplugged everything and plugged it all back exactly as it was, it now appears to work

Probably just a bad connection. The caller display information is a very short audio data tone burst, just before the ringing starts. If this tone is distorted in any way, then the phone will not be able to decode the data, and it will just show as an incoming call.
