Can Fibre “free run’?

Go to solution

I’m very happy with the FTTP speeds I get: 900mb+ down & 110mb up.

I’m guessing both speeds are restricted in some way; is it possible to let both up & down run freely i.e. with no limits?

Will BT allow this? Who should I ask?

Kind Regards

Hugh

I'm sure 900Mbps must be very limiting for you!!

Simply a question; sarcasm is not needed.

The speed is governed by hardware and software limits. My mate works for BT wholesale and be has a G-Fast connection at home with all limits removed and no contention. Obvious this is all for work purposes but he's synced at a gig

Which will not happen for a BT paying customer so the answer to the questions asked "Will BT allow this? Who should I ask" is still no.
