I've just had BT Fibre 2 installed on the 24th, with a new Smart Hub 2 router. Moved over from Plus Net and my own Netgear D7000 v2 router.
Wanted to know if I can buy a Linksys Velop WiFi 6 tri-band mesh system and simply plug it in to the Smart Hub 2 to extend my coverage around the home or if there are any settings changes I need to make first? Is the Smart Hub compatible with a WiFi 6 mesh system?
Hi @marcocaamano I would imagine that all routers are compatible, just turn off the WiFi on the router. If you are going with BT https://shop.bt.com/brands/bt/whole-home-wi-fi-6
I assume (as I don't yet have a Smart Hub 2) I will be able to continue to manage without a hub - connecting the mesh system direct to the ONT (or modem in my case). The Smart Hub is essential only for for the DV telephone system?
Are there any DV phones with a separate handset - so I can see the keyboard while I listen?
How do I switch WiFi off please?
