Can I get Alibi channel as a new customer or not?

Last week I called BTTV customer services and asked if I could get Alibi as a new customer, I was assured that I could, even when I pointed out that the BT web page suggested otherwise the person at the call centre insisted that I could.

My problem is not one thing I've found online backs this up.

So here's my very simple unambiguous question.

Can I, as a NEW customer with no current BT or NOW TV accounts get the Alibi channel or not?

I don't care about any history, I don't care if I could have if I'd signed up five years ago, all I want to know is if I can get it now.

If you ask to be put on the Classic Entertainment package you will get the Alibi channel but BT will try and get you on one of the Now packages.
As BT are hoping to phase out the Classic Entertainment package over the next few years.

If you want Alibi Channel in HD that will be an extra cost if you get the Classic Entertainment package but you will have to make sure BT give you that package and not put you on one of the Now packages.

SO is it possible to get Classic Entertainment on the refer a friend scheme?
As I've been referred by an old friend and there's no Classic Entertainment listed in the options.
