Can not upgrade from BT Infinity 2 to Totally Unlimited - Removing P2P

  • Your contract finishes on 24/03/2014

Try doing it as if you are a new customer - the system should recognise you as an existing BT customer and you may end up at the right screen .Otherwise ring customer options on 0800 800 030

Thanks for the tip, no dice, it didn't work.

 

I don't think I want to call, I have heard horror stories about they don't even know what you are talking about when you ask for the upgrade to remove P2P limit. They actually deny Traffic Shaping, even when its in their own T&C.

 

I would rather do this online, i'm just not sure why it keeps giving me this error.

I got the same message when trying to upgrade online.

 

Tried calling customer services, options, tec help and what is not - these guys have no clue

 

Unbelievable, I am really frustrated...I am going to complain to Ofcom

Once contacting the BT care Team (Mods) they will reply either by phone or email usually within 3 to 6 working days, however you will be given a tracking number immediately after sending the request. Please take note of this.

 

Please be aware that this timeframe does not include weekends and Bank Holidays. The timeframe will also vary during busy periods.

 

The BT Care Team are a BT UK Based specialist team who have a good reputation for solving customer problems.

This is just ridiculous, I wait all this time and get a response that made no sense and I wonder if they even read what I wanted? In no way has this helped.

 

Really they actually said the complete opposite of my whole email and support request. They really don't want my money. I'm not one to moan on public forums, im really not. Seriously.. I can't recontract even if i wanted to. I don't think i will now.

The point of the contract was to UPGRADE, hence the word, UPGRADE in the title and the body of the email that was sent to support. AND the forum thread that was linked in the box, THEY asked for the support forum thread link.

 

There is peer to peer restrictions as confirmed by Glasnot, I only learned of this tool from this forum and its seems to be very accurate. Again, I HAVE GOT PEER TO PEER RESTRICTIONS.

 

So those 2 points which consisted of the whole email, which of those points were addressed? not one. I give up, bye bye, I dont have time to be messing around trying to give a company more money for a service that should be as stated.

This issue has been resolved to my satisfaction by upgrading me to the totally unlimited, many thanks for the moderator who resolved it
