Can't access Yahoo because of DNS issue with BT Protect

When I enable BT Protect I can no longer access any Yahoo web page and need to beacuse I use Yahoo email.

I'm getting the error about usine an external DNS server. My IP settings are exactly what BT recommend so not sure what I can do?

If I ping mail.yahoo.com it goes to yahoodns.net so presumably Yahoo do use their own DNS servers at some point in the communication.

Is there a solution or am I forced to simply disable BT Protect?

Re: Can't access Yahoo because of DNS issue with BT Protect

What are you using to access Yahoo?

Do you have any other software like Trusteer Rapport installed on your computer?

Re: Can't access Yahoo because of DNS issue with BT Protect

Yahoo doesn't get to decide what DNS is used - that's determined by your computer in the network settings.  For BT Protect to work, you must use the Home Hub as your DNS provider (and the Home Hub will then use BT's DNS).  Any software that changes the DNS on your computer will break things.
