Can't connect 3DS and android devices to HomeHub 3

Ok, devices that won't connect are:

Nintendo 3DS

Advent Vega Android Tablet

Orange San Francisco Android Phone

My 3DS connected when I first bought it. but now I can't connect to the homehub at all, when I scan for wireless networks, where the Homehub should be, it just shows an empty router, doesn't show the SSID or security type.

With the two android devices, they show the SSID ok, but they don't recognise the security type, they show the network as open (when it actually has WPA2 encryption) - thus it doesn't give me anywhere to put in the passphrase

Anyone else had any trouble with these and know of any fixes?

Re: Can't connect 3DS and android devices to HomeHub 3

It's not that wifi is off. It's working fine with a pile of other devices (blu ray player, PS3, 360, laptop). It's just those 3 devices that won't connect

i wasnt suggesting that your wifi was off...sometimes pressing that button helps find other devices.

Re: Can't connect 3DS and android devices to HomeHub 3

Oh right, sorry, I tried it and it didn't do anything, thanks for the suggestion though. I found something that says pressing the tiny reset button on the back can fix it. So I'll try that and report back if I still need help..

Problem sorted 🙂 for now

No idea what was actually wrong with it, maybe something just got itself into a knot or something. But hey 🙂

Re: Can't connect 3DS and android devices to HomeHub 3

sometimes interference from other wifi devices around your area can cause this...HH3 is normally on auto search for the best channel on wifi, and pressing the wifi button or reseting can resolve the problem, glad you have sorted it

Re: Can't connect 3DS and android devices to HomeHub 3

I Think I was having this problem too and only just figured it out.

My 3DS couldnt even see my BTHomeHub3

My wifi networks channel was set to automatic (as default on the homehub3) and had chosen channel 11. My guess is that the 3DS doesn't have a European wifi card so cant interact with wireless devices on channel 11. Changed my homehubs channel to 9 and everything works perfectly.

Hope this helps
